2012 ornament showcase

Here they are--the dozens of ornaments you created and crafted, purchased and packaged with eagerness! They are all lovely. They are handmade. Sparkling. Dazzling. Natural. Vintage. Catered perfectly to each person. I was stunned by the creativity of some of these. This is also the first time I have ever seen "Victorian Christmas Tree Tinsel"--which, of course, I now want.

Tomorrow, as a complement to this collection, I'll be sharing photos of the ornaments I sent and received. (So, if I traded something with you, don't worry if you don't see it here!)

Thank you again to everyone who participated. Nearly 80 individuals joined in! There were swappers from the States, from Canada, from England. Scotland. Germany. Japan. Taiwan. Romania. Trinidad. Spain. Singapore. Thank you to everyone--quite literally around the globe--for trading hanging memories. For taking part in something that encourages networking and Christmas joy.

I hope everyone enjoyed the experience, and I wish for everyone to return next year as well.

So, without further ado ...

Another big thank you to everyone who participated! I, too, enjoyed the experience; I have never interacted with so many individuals simultaneously, so I apologize for any stumbles I had along the way. However, the opportunity to communicate and learn about people, their blogs, their cultures, and their lives was exciting and rewarding. I learned about you. I truly appreciate this type of networking, this ability to glimpse one's life and begin to understand his or her perspectives. And, at this time of year, I'm able to discover the traditions of others with just a click. A button. A page.

Thank you again, everyone.

We're all busy this time of year, no matter what we do and what we have planned. As you said, I enjoy slowing down and finding ways to bask in the joy of Christmas. 16. Everyone did such a thoughtful and lovely job with their ornaments! i especially love the vintage ornaments (my heart swoons at anything vintage) but gosh you really can never beat handmade.

Dawn, as you know from participating in my ornament swap last year-- this is exactly why I keep doing it and celebrated 4 years. I LOVE spreading Christmas joy and there's no greater gift than human connection.

This post made my heart happy! xo
