swappers: check your inbox!

Happy Friday! I've been moved into my apartment for over a week now, but I'm still living out of cardboard cubes. I keep pulling pots, pans, utensils, and paper towels out of boxes and plastic totes. I've also washed the same skillet three times, mainly to avoid digging other kitchenwar e out of the vortex of newspaper and bubble wrap. I would love to organize my apartment more, but, for this weekend at least, I'll be celebrating "Friendsgiving." We hosted a similar event last year (which I mention here), and it was both a fun and tasty get-together. This year, I'm eager to spend some sort of mock holiday with my fiance and my "Purdue friends," and--as I'm in charge of "green bean casserole (WITH BACON)"--I'm looking forward to poisoning feeding them.

That said, I managed to contact everyone who signed up for the ornament swap. If you haven't already, check your inboxes for information regarding your partner! If you signed up and, for some reason, did not receive an email from me, please send me a message. I promise to solve the issue.

Though I've perhaps gushed enough, I'm going to do it again--thank you! I was amazed by how many people were interested. A big thank you goes to anyone who shared the button or who featured a special post about it. Your eagerness to do so grabbed the attention of many others. In total, there are 76 participants from 11 countries, including Japan, Canada, Romania, Spain, Taiwan, and the UK. (How about we make it to 100 next year?)

Anyway, I'm excited to see everyone's ornaments; don't forget to share photos so I can showcase them in December.

In the meantime, have an excellent weekend, everyone! Does anyone else have early Thanksgiving plans?

  1. So excited for this! I have my ornament idea already! I'll get working on it after my craft fair this weekend :)

I plan on eating way too much on Thanksgiving. I hope you have a great one!

  2. I chuckled at the "poison them" line. I bet you can get to 100 next year! I'm still blown away by all of those different countries.

  3. I got my email and already have an idea of what I am going to do! I can't believe so many people are participating! You definitely thank Mary from My Hideaway because she did post about this so I became interested.

  4. Ornament in the mail! So fun. Can't wait to read about all the merry swapping. :)
