before the students come
It's pretty quiet around campus this time of year. There are more "youngins" attending various camps than there are college-aged students. Campus is almost peaceful, serene. It is unscathed by class-goers; the paths are clean, the flowers fresh. It's quiet, really, save for a few students, a few people who douse themselves in the fountains. In just a few weeks, this place, these eager buildings, will host forty thousand students. But until then, it's a beautiful, nostalgic place.
